About this game
A research institute is located on a remote island.
Apparently the researches being conducted there have some sort of an unofficial link with the military, so journalist Albert Macdgul is sent to investigate and see what he can find out.

At the same time Tina, a young girl, is washed ashore on the island with no recollection of what has happened to her or who she is.
Meanwhile, the technical manager Makoto Izumi seems to think that something weird is going on with the researches being conducted.
Desire is a Japanese-style adventure game.
The game is played via a standard text interface where the player selects commands from a menu, interacting with other characters and places.
The game consists of four chapters which make up the same storyline, but viewed by different characters.
In each chapter the player will see the events and situations from different angles and uncover layers of the main plotline.
The computer versions of the game have scenes with explicit nudity and sexual situations, which are not present in the console releases.
About Sega Saturn
The Sega Saturn (1994/1995) struggled commercially against the PlayStation despite strong 2D capabilities and a library beloved by shoot-'em-up and RPG fans. Its relatively low sales translated directly into low print runs for many games, making the Saturn one of the more expensive retro platforms to collect completely — several titles now sell for hundreds of euros in good condition.
Gamevaro tracks Desire for Sega Saturn with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Desire to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This SAT release dates back to 1997.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Desire has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
