Olympic Soccer
Sega Saturn · 1996
About this game
While the soccer tournament is often downplayed not only inside the Olympic movement but also by the soccer-following community, in 1996, by the occasion of the Games of the XXVI Olympiad in Atlanta, US Gold decided to release a game representing the tournament.
The player can choose one of the 33 teams, and participate in exhibition matches, arcade (a 32-team cup knockout), Olympic (the 16 team tournament mimicking the actual tournament), or play on an all-versus-all league (from 3 to 16 teams).

The games feature the usual options found in contemporary games, such as match length and draw rules, as well as define several weather patterns from wind to the bumpiness of the grass.
All 5 stadiums used in the actual Olympics are present.
About Sega Saturn
The Sega Saturn (1994/1995) struggled commercially against the PlayStation despite strong 2D capabilities and a library beloved by shoot-'em-up and RPG fans. Its relatively low sales translated directly into low print runs for many games, making the Saturn one of the more expensive retro platforms to collect completely — several titles now sell for hundreds of euros in good condition.
Gamevaro tracks Olympic Soccer for Sega Saturn with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Olympic Soccer to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This SAT release dates back to 1996.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Olympic Soccer has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
