There is now a strategic map the player must use to intercept attacking fighters and to attack enemy bases, a password system to save progress, and a two-player versus dogfight mode.
There are two types of missions in the single-player campaign.
When intercepting enemy fighters, the game enters dogfight mode where the goal is to shoot down all the enemy planes.
When approaching an enemy base, the goal is to destroy all marked ground targets and safely land to capture the location.
In either mode, the mission is failed if the player is shot down or crashes into the ground.
There are two different types of planes to choose from: a McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle and a Dassault Mirage 2000.
