Syvalion
Super Nintendo Entertainment System · 1988
About this game
Syvalion is a shoot 'em up game in which you take control of a spaceship shaped as a dragon and divided in several segments.
The spaceships/dragon can move freely across the screen in all directions and has to fight off robots, spaceships and bosses with his fire attack.

When using the fire attack the fuel meter at the bottom off the screen depletes but moving around recharges the meter.
Along the way are also indestructible obstacles that have to be evaded.
The segments serve as hit points and when taking damage a segment changes color.
The game features the following modes: Basic Series: A mode in witch you receive instruction and tips on how to play the game; Real Combat Series: A story mode; Time Attack: A mode where you need to gather as many points as possible before the time reaches zero.
The game was later also released as part of a compilation called Taito Legends 2 for the PlayStation 2.
About Super Nintendo Entertainment System
The Super Nintendo Entertainment System (1990/1991) is widely regarded as home to one of the strongest first-party libraries in gaming history, from Super Metroid to Chrono Trigger. It's a mature collecting market: iconic RPGs and late-cycle releases (which typically had smaller print runs as the industry moved toward the next generation) are consistently among the most sought-after and valuable cartridges from the 16-bit era.
Gamevaro tracks Syvalion for Super Nintendo Entertainment System with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Syvalion to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This SNES release dates back to 1988.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Syvalion has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
