About this game
Tokimeki Memorial: Densetsu no Ki no Shita de ("Beneath the Tree of Legend") is a port of the highly popular Konami dating simulation game, compressed into a 32-megabit Super Famicom cartridge and based on the original 1994 PC-Engine CD version (as opposed to the enhanced PS1 port "Forever With You", which contained additional content).
To date, it is the only Tokimemo game to be released on a Nintendo home console.

Due to the technical limitations of the cartridge format, voice acting is almost entirely eliminated; however, after completing the game once, starting the game again will cause a voice clip of the girl with the highest affection from the previous playthrough to play during loading.
Despite the scaled-down nature of this port, the gameplay is more or less unchanged.
Original copies come bundled with a mini-CD containing a specially recorded drama track, "Taste is Appletarte", and a re-arranged version of the game's closing theme, "Futari no Toki", sung by the majority of the heroines.

Rarity & condition
Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for Tokimeki Memorial: Densetsu no Ki no Shita de, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common Super Nintendo Entertainment System titles.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
