The Wii version of the game introduces a new accentuated 'cartoony' visual style exclusive to the Wii.
It also introduces several new game modes and other enhancements, including a new tournament style mode called 'Madden Showdown' which encourages players to bet on the outcome of individual matchups, a new cooperative 'Season Mode', and a new passing control system that allows players to pass the pall by using the Wii Remote to point at the receiver that they wish to pass the ball to.
