The races include classical circuit races, K.O. races, time trials, and races where you have to pass a certain point at the highest speed possible.
Also the Drag- and Driftraces introduced in The Need for Speed Underground series are here as well.
In this part the police is present again providing high speed chases with the player with the possibility to take their side too.
New to the series are Power Ups which repair your car during an event for example since cars can get damaged even to the point that the performance is affected.
The action takes place on public roads which can be found in Singapore, Madrid, Cairo, Rio de Janeiro and Dubai.
About Nintendo Wii
Launched in 2006, the Wii's motion controls (Wii Remote) brought casual and non-traditional players into console gaming at a scale no prior system had achieved, making it one of the best-selling consoles ever. Because so many Wii units sold with bundled software like Wii Sports, the bulk of the library is inexpensive to collect — but it also means truly rare Wii titles (often niche Japanese-only releases) stand out sharply from the norm.
Gamevaro tracks Need for Speed: NITRO for Nintendo Wii with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Need for Speed: NITRO to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This WII release dates back to 2009.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Need for Speed: NITRO has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
