The player is not limited to a single allegiance; the fluid diplomacy allows the player to build alliances and rivalries throughout the game.
There are two "career paths": Adventurer, which focuses on combat and conquest; and Trader, which focuses on setting up trade routes and city building.
Although the player is free to pursue activities from both of these modes in the same game, the single-player story mode is divided into two distinct campaigns that focus around the two career paths.
Like the original Port Royale , Port Royale 3 offers a multiplayer mode allowing up to 4 players to battle for control of the seas.
About Xbox 360
Microsoft's second console, the Xbox 360 (2005), is remembered for popularizing online multiplayer through Xbox Live and for a notoriously high hardware failure rate (the "Red Ring of Death") — which ironically makes well-preserved, working units and complete game cases more collectible today. Physical 360 games are still generally affordable, though limited Kinect-era peripherals and bundles are becoming harder to find complete.
Gamevaro tracks Port Royale 3 for Xbox 360 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Port Royale 3 to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This X360 release dates back to 2012.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for Port Royale 3, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common Xbox 360 titles.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
