Like most on-rails games, it uses the familiar first-person perspective and guides the player throughout the environments.
There are two main ways of dealing with enemies.
The majority of the enemies use untimed measures.
There is a measure associated with each enemy.
Depending on the difficulty level, these measures can contain from one single note to a series of complex chords.
Players play the corresponding note sequence as quick as possible to defeat the enemy, though accuracy is also gauged.
Many mini-bosses and all bosses also use timed measures, which is similar to Guitar Hero where the player is playing a series of note-tracked notes along a scrolling measure.
There is a drop-in two player co-op mode.
Players can use two guitars, two drums or one of each.
This is a competitive co-op as each player has a separate score, and players can actually steal kills by completing untimed measures before the other player.
If one player is out of continues, the other player can donate unused continues to the fallen.
About Xbox 360
Microsoft's second console, the Xbox 360 (2005), is remembered for popularizing online multiplayer through Xbox Live and for a notoriously high hardware failure rate (the "Red Ring of Death") — which ironically makes well-preserved, working units and complete game cases more collectible today. Physical 360 games are still generally affordable, though limited Kinect-era peripherals and bundles are becoming harder to find complete.
Gamevaro tracks Rock of the Dead for Xbox 360 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Rock of the Dead to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This X360 release dates back to 2010.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for Rock of the Dead, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common Xbox 360 titles.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
