The player characters available in the game, called legends, have unique abilities and traits, as well as a trait from their categorization within the roster.
In most cases, the various weapons the players find during the course of a round are handled equally by all legends, though some have traits that allow for faster handling, i.e.
Rampart with her bonus to handling light machine guns.
As of August 2023, the legend roster includes 24 characters: Ash, Ballistic, Bangalore, Bloodhound, Catalyst, Caustic, Crypto, Fuse, Gibraltar, Horizon, Lifeline, Loba, Mad Maggie, Mirage, Newcastle, Octane, Pathfinder, Rampart, Revenant, Seer, Valkyrie, Vantage, Wattson, and Wraith.
Some have been featured in previous Titanfall main series games.
The game offers multiple modes, including the main "battle royale" mode and the "control" mode.
In the battle royale mode, the players have to fight up to 60 other players to be the last player or squad remaining.
The standard squad sizes are two and three, which are queued separately.
About Xbox One
Microsoft's Xbox One launched in 2013 alongside the PS4 and leaned heavily into backwards compatibility and subscription services like Game Pass. Because so many Xbox One owners moved to all-digital libraries, physical Xbox One cartridges — sorry, discs — in good condition are comparatively less common on the secondhand market than their PlayStation equivalents from the same era.
Gamevaro tracks Apex Legends for Xbox One with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Apex Legends to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This XONE release dates back to 2019.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for Apex Legends, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common Xbox One titles.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
