Additionally, insanity is also an element in the game.

If sanity drops too low, monsters that lurk behind the shadows of the mind, may come to physical reality and attack the player.

Finally, as monsters roam the land, the player must defend against these beasts with weapons, armor, and even magic.

In any scenario, death will occur if health reaches zero (either by starvation or combat damage).

Although death may sometimes be thwarted, a permanent death will reward the player (not the character) with experience.

Experience is gained by how many days the player survives before death.

Upon death, this experience is calculated and may unlock additional characters if the level requirements are met.

Some characters however, may only be unlocked through adventure mode
