About this game

Flashback is a remake of Flashback: The Quest for Identity and follows the same main plot as the original with enhancements in graphics, new dialogue, plot twists, and voice acting.

In general, the gameplay may be treated as identical to the original, but it is essentially enhanced as follows: wearing the goggles to access detective mode, where enemies and obstacles are temporarily highlighted; arcade air bike riding mission is introduced; aiming system is now 360 degrees; protagonist receives the experience for his actions to increase the character's level; level provides the points to improve one of three skills such as aiming, power, and vitality; 8 upgrades for each of 6 character's abilities are scattered on the levels; Virtual Reality missions allow the protagonist to master his combat techniques and get an extra experience; certain number of Morph Eyes should be eliminated on each level to gain a skill point; hand-drawn art from the original has been redrawn as 2.5D; achievements have been added.

About Xbox One

Microsoft's Xbox One launched in 2013 alongside the PS4 and leaned heavily into backwards compatibility and subscription services like Game Pass. Because so many Xbox One owners moved to all-digital libraries, physical Xbox One cartridges — sorry, discs — in good condition are comparatively less common on the secondhand market than their PlayStation equivalents from the same era.

Gamevaro tracks Flashback 2 for Xbox One with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.

Adding Flashback 2 to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This XONE release dates back to 2023.

Rarity & condition

Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for Flashback 2, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common Xbox One titles.

Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
