ISLANDERS

About this game
The sequel to Bubble Bobble , Rainbow Islands sees Bub and Bob who were turned into human form at the end of its predecessor, attempting to rescue the inhabitants of the titular Rainbow Islands from the evil Boss of Shadows.
Instead of bubbles, Bub and Bob now have the power to cast rainbows, that can be used to directly destroy baddies or trap them underneath.

Killing the baddies will leave an item that can be picked up for score.
By trapping beasts under your rainbows and jumping on them to break them, you can collect seven different colored diamonds or power-ups for extra speed and rainbows.
There are ten islands in total, seven regular ones and three hidden, with increased complexity and difficulty.
The boys must travel vertically four levels on each island, using rainbows as platforms to ascend.
Each island ends with a big, bad boss that must be defeated to continue.
Like in the predecessor there is more than one ending, depending on how the game was played.
The three hidden islands will not appear unless seven colored diamonds are collected on each level of the first seven islands, and the order might even matter!
About Xbox One
Microsoft's Xbox One launched in 2013 alongside the PS4 and leaned heavily into backwards compatibility and subscription services like Game Pass. Because so many Xbox One owners moved to all-digital libraries, physical Xbox One cartridges — sorry, discs — in good condition are comparatively less common on the secondhand market than their PlayStation equivalents from the same era.
Gamevaro tracks ISLANDERS for Xbox One with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding ISLANDERS to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This XONE release dates back to 2019.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for ISLANDERS, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common Xbox One titles.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
