The player can choose between three sigils (spell schools) at any given time.
Each sigil has three type of spells: a missile attack, a nova attack and a long range AOE attack.
Each attack can be given a different effect which affects the gameplay in a different way.
The three effects are: destruction (direct damage), control (various status effects that stagger or distract enemies) and mastery (debuff that increases destruction power).
Along the three different sigils the player is equipped with a shield that also comes in three flavors: agile (unlimited teleportation, for quick combat), strategic (balanced, with the possibility of blocking attacks) and tactical (focused of blocking attacks).
Each shield type offers a reduction in the time to cast a different attack type based on it's specifics.
The game also features a basic crafting mechanic where the player can combine different spells in order to produce better variants of the base effect.
The system features actions like crafting new spells, upgrading existing spells, retrieving components from previous crafts and even a gambling system for those who wish to test their luck.
Based on the player's choice of gender, the story is told in a specific way that revolves around the character's personality.
The story remains mostly the same but the roles of the two characters are swapped out.
The story is rather generic and revolves around the dragon (the spellcaster) and the gryphon (the scout) who seek revenge after the cult of Malthus killed his wife and took her sister.
About Xbox One
Microsoft's Xbox One launched in 2013 alongside the PS4 and leaned heavily into backwards compatibility and subscription services like Game Pass. Because so many Xbox One owners moved to all-digital libraries, physical Xbox One cartridges — sorry, discs — in good condition are comparatively less common on the secondhand market than their PlayStation equivalents from the same era.
Gamevaro tracks Lichdom: Battlemage for Xbox One with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Lichdom: Battlemage to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This XONE release dates back to 2014.
