This is the premise behind Midnight Club II, in which you must work your way up the ranks of illegal street racing by challenging and defeating the best over three cities.
Each race occurs in a different area of the city, and all you have to do to get started is flash your lights at the person you wish to drag.
Then follow the map for the track route and go hell for leather.
Further along, shortcuts will also come into play, giving you an advantage in getting to the finish first.
Each race you win racks up cash, which goes towards new and much faster cars for the more difficult challenges.
You'll also get the chance to go two wheels with a selection of highly mobile bikes.
Multiplayer modes include the usual all-on-all race mode, and capture the flag, in which you must race to the opposing flag somewhere in the city and return it to your destination.
About Xbox
Microsoft's original Xbox (2001) marked the company's first console and stood out for its built-in hard drive and Xbox Live service, which laid the groundwork for modern online console gaming. Original Xbox discs are prone to wear, so complete, undamaged copies — especially of the system's more niche or Japan-only titles — are less common than the console's overall sales figures might suggest.
Gamevaro tracks Midnight Club II (Platinum Hits) for Xbox with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Midnight Club II (Platinum Hits) to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This XBOX release dates back to 2004.

Rarity & condition
Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for Midnight Club II (Platinum Hits), suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common Xbox titles.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
