Warius Zero once was the commander of the terran fleet, but he lose his wife and children during the war and is now a broken man.
Earth's government decide to give Warius a new mission : find the space pirates led by young Captain Harlock and stop them before the Galactic Government decides to break the already weak peace treaty.
At first, Warius accepts the mission as he is searching a new meaning to his life.
But he will soon discover that things are in fact much, much more complicated...
The game features action scenes where you explore levels and fight enemies, and boss battles in 3D arena.
Multiplayer involves only the latter.
As you progress in the "story mode", you unlock new characters both well-known heroes of the Leijiverse - such as Lady Emeraldas, Great Samurai Tochiro, Battle Analyser (the robot from "Starblazers") and of course Captain Harlock - and newcomers such as Grenadier the mercenary, the bounty hunter La Sylviana, and the evil Hellmatear.
You also unlock a special gallery containing production sketches, artworks and original drawings from Matsumoto himself.
About PlayStation
The original PlayStation (1994) brought CD-based gaming and 3D graphics to the mainstream, ending Nintendo's console dominance of the previous two generations. It's now firmly in "retro collecting" territory: original jewel cases with intact manuals command a real premium over disc-only copies, and several RPGs from its later years (when Sony deliberately courted the genre) are among the most expensive commonly-collected games from the era.
Gamevaro tracks CosmoWarrior Zero for PlayStation with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding CosmoWarrior Zero to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PS1 release dates back to 2000.

Rarity & condition
Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for CosmoWarrior Zero, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common PlayStation titles.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
