Alien Syndrome
PlayStation 2 · 2004
About this game
Alien Syndrome is a remake of SEGA's classic alien blaster for its 3D AGES label.
In the game, an alien threat has seized your spaceship and your mission consists of escaping the doomed vessel by clearing each section until you get to the escape pod in standard top-down sidescroller fashion.

As you progress through the starship you'll find other survivors of the alien onslaught whom you must rescue in order to get vital items and aid.
You'll need all the help you can get, as a time bomb also threatens to destroy you if you don't leave fast enough.
Fortunately for this remake (which incorporates 3D graphics and newly arranged music) you also get full dual-analog controller support which allows for independent movement and firing directions, as well as 2-player co-op gameplay as added features and to animated cutscenes between levels.
About PlayStation 2
The PlayStation 2 (2000) is the best-selling game console in history, with a library exceeding 9,000 titles that spans everything from budget shovelware to genre-defining classics. That massive volume means PS2 collecting is accessible and affordable overall, but a handful of low-print-run RPGs and cult titles have become genuinely expensive — a common pattern once a console's original audience grows up with disposable income.
Gamevaro tracks Alien Syndrome for PlayStation 2 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Alien Syndrome to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PS2 release dates back to 2004.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Alien Syndrome has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
