After pulling it ashore they find a baby crocodile inside it.
The Gobbos raise him as their own until he is three times their size.
The game starts with the island being attacked by the evil Baron Dante and his minions.
They capture most of the Gobbos, but the crocodile manages to escape.
Now you need to rescue the Gobbos and fight Baron Dante and his minions.
As you make progress you visit several islands with different themes like a forest, snow, desert or castles.
Along the way you have to collect crystals (which serve as health), rescue Gobbos and defeat enemies and bosses.
You can attack enemies with your tail, destroy crates with a jump down attack and, in some stages, it is possible to swim.
Secret stages and a secret island can be unlocked if all Gobbos are rescued and all jigsaw pieces in the secret stages are collected.
About Sega Saturn
The Sega Saturn (1994/1995) struggled commercially against the PlayStation despite strong 2D capabilities and a library beloved by shoot-'em-up and RPG fans. Its relatively low sales translated directly into low print runs for many games, making the Saturn one of the more expensive retro platforms to collect completely — several titles now sell for hundreds of euros in good condition.
Gamevaro tracks Croc: Legend of The Gobbos for Sega Saturn with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Croc: Legend of The Gobbos to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This SAT release dates back to 1997.

Market insights
